Peter Jenkins

Specialist, body-mind in process: Peter Jenkins shares with the CM his knowledge and sensitivity to body-mind wellness within the rigours of creative process.

Peter is a leading Canadian Feldenkeis practitioner with training in also in various physical therapies and body-mind expressive forms. He trained in dance with Elizabeth Langley and at York University Dance in the 1960’s and 70’s. He was an independent professional dance artist for several decades. This led to becoming a full-time educator in the public school system where he was among pioneers in teaching academics through artistic expression.

Honours BFA, certifications in Feldenkrais® , Bones for Life®, Chairs, Walk for Life and Solutions Mentoring.

Along with a conventional practice he teaches individual Feldenkrais sessions to performing artists often with the focus to support ease and presence in performance and Feldenkrais to students with learning disabilities; lessons created to improve their confidence in learning and to develop an ever-increasing level of focus and attention.
